If so, we would like to invite you to visit Birmingham Independent College (BIC) in Aston, Birmingham.

Opened in March 2015, BIC is a small, independent college offering students in Year 10 and Year 11 regular opportunities to take entry level Functional examinations and EAL/English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) examinations with AQA and Edexcel.

Our qualified teachers specialise in teaching students who are newly arrived to the UK and may have limited English language. We also welcome students who may not yet be ready to take GCSEs and for whom Functional examinations offer an alternative access route to post 16 education. A BTEC Health and Social Care course is also available for  students aged 14-25 with sufficient English language ability.
